Wilderness Trail Head Access

Wilderness Corps, cannot do any kind wilderness trail maintenance if we cannot access the Wilderness Trail head. Therefore, due to the current state of the USFS and the lack of funding Wilderness Corps Volunteers with the help the USFS Sierra National Forest Off-Highway Vehicle Rangers and other 4×4 Clubs, clear the trees from Wilderness Trail head Access Roads and OHV Routes before the Summer Season starts each year. In the winter time, Wilderness Corps continues its stewardship by patrolling on Snow Mobiles providing public information and addressing OSV trail safety issues along with doing Wilderness OSV Incursion Monitoring. The bottom line is without the OHV Community the public would not be able to drive to most of the Wilderness Trail heads. Our work is critical which is why we support:

  • Fresno 4×4 Club
  • Cal4wheel Drive
  • CORVA
  • Clovis Independent 4×4 Club
  • No One Left Behind 4×4 Club
