Wilderness Corps offers Crew Services to Public Land Managers and Fire Departments.

Wilderness Corps’ crews consist of six highly motivated and well trained adults (1 crew leader and 5 crew members). They come fully prepared with transportation and the tools to accomplish your project on time and within budget. Crews work 6 days per week, 50 weeks a year. We offer on-site field supervision with our staff as needed. Wilderness Crews are USFS Crosscut Certified and have First Aid and CPR plus Blood Born Pathogens Certification.  OHV Crews are USFS Chainsaw Certified and have First Aid and CPR plus Blood Born Pathogens Certification.

Our Crew Services include:

  • Wilderness Trail Maintenance (crews spike out in wilderness to complete projects)
  • OHV Trail Maintenance
  • Hazardous Fuel Reduction
  • Wilderness Ranger Support
  • Post Wildland Fire Services
  • Volunteer Trail Crew Services (Crosscut teams, tread work, rock work & brushing, Campsite restoration)

Wilderness Permits

Wilderness Permits are required for the Golden Trout , Dinkey Lakes, Dome Land, South Sierra, John Muir and Ansel Adams Wilderness areas. Please get a Wilderness Permit if you plan on an overnight excursion in one of these spectacular areas.
