The Northern end of the Piedra Blanca / Gene Marshall (PBGM) Trailhead starts at Reyes Creek Campground which is located off Lockwood Valley Road in Maricopa, CA. To quickly find the location simply google Reyes Creek Bar and Grill which is located a few hundred yards away from the Trailhead and offers cold beverages, food, and some interesting people.

Wilderness Corps started to maintain this trail in 2015. By the summer of 2016, the trail was is good shape. The 2016/2017 winter undid all the work we had accomplished and more. On June 3, 2017, wilderness Corps and USFS Volunteers brushed around a tricky spot in the trail where the creek had undercut the trail. This section is stock passable again.

The next order of business will be to repair another section of the PB/GM trail that is completely cupped after the several water structures failed and the water gullied the entire sections trail. With all the available water the brush has grown into the center of the trail in spots. Because this is Wilderness, we cannot use Chainsaws or Weed-eaters and therefore all work is done by manually. We need your help.
